Times are changing

May 5, 2020

As a full time portrait, event and rodeo photographer with no events or venues to shoot during this time of  quarantine, I have had to get creative in figuring out how to continue to have some form of income. I know this is not un-like a lot of people in these days and I feel for everyone.

As luck would have it, my wife’s business Pro 360 virtual tours is considered essential by creating virtual tours in order for people to be able to see the site without actually exposing their self. As people have  realized  this more at this time, the phone has been ringing big time.

Lisa started training me on Virtual tour photography three years ago as every form of photography is it’s own craft. The basics are the same as any other photography but the training comes in in little things like angles of the walls, because she uses a ultra wide lens there are a few things that need correcting, also the software she uses to make the 360 view is a learning curve. So… fine tuning is over and now we can go in two different directions as the business demands it. I feel grateful that I had someone teach me this that has been shooting commercial and residential tours for thirteen years.

So I guess my point is that you have to continually reinvent yourself in this trade if your gonna stay on top of the curve. Like wise, Lisa has gained a enormous knowledge of lighting for portraits, videos and lifestyle work as we continue to pursue our passion and paychecks together.
