Have been working on the zoom blur effect for a few years now,

the effect seems to work best on tripod, 1/2 second second  or slower, starting your zoom before  you actually press the shutter!

Latest challenge, Inc. into motion shots! The challenge being your action is moving, and you’re shooting  at half a second. The best advice I can give is shoot a lot, start with your subject in the middle, start wide and go telephoto, if you have a monopod use it. Can be very frustrating shooting 100 shots and not getting anything, but when you do, more than likely it will be awesome!
