Youth Fair is in full swing as the week slowly disappears. In the run for Grand Champion Steer, the moments continue to unravel.

I thought the photo was way to busy for my taste, but you don’t always get to pick your scene in moment shots and as always, content comes first — and this one had a bunch. The little boy’s parents smiled in the background; this was his first year; he showed four steers; the event left him exhausted and tearful; with an ancient wooden show stick in hand, the moment overrode everything technical.
