White on white with a touch of white!
December 26, 2009
Can’t remember the last actual White Christmas I saw. Somewhere in my teens. For a Christmas season that was struggling with the spirit due to the economy or whatever reason, the “White Christmas” brought it home to the North Texas area. Go through several shooting phases during a news event, the first is the one that pays the bills, the “news shot.” That being whatever tells the people what’s going on the best at the time. In this case it was the unexpected blast that caught drivers off guard in my part of the world. Sand crews worked fast to cover the major overpasses, and despite impatient moterist no major fatalities this year!

As a kid I would get told to “go play in the traffic,” a lot, didn’t think those would be skills I would ever need, wrong! Next mode is people,

doing something cool, (jusphophun) the thing about kids is they will find the simplicity and the fun in anything.

The favorite mode, after the story stuff, is the random abstractness shots, just wandering and looking!
This one comes the morning after, a single set of dog tracks in the windblown snowdrifts, as the sun pokes out!

The snow was such a treat! When it because obvious this storm would bring more than a few flurries, I thought of you, Joe, and all the great shots you would get. Happy belated birthday, too!
