Not really sure what always intrigued me about shooting Halloween subjects. I think it’s because it gives everybody a chance to physically put on a mask not just subconsciously. It’s nice to see what is on the other side that are alter ego projects.

While working at the paper for several years, this was one of my favorite times of the year. For about a seven day period, the County would hold several events from dress up day at the elementary to the town Square Boo Bash,  this gave me an opportunity to work on lighting on the run, simplicity in order to capture and focus on the individual. I started a a project back in 01 out of my garage setting up a studio and having the kids all come in and get their portrait made instead of handing out candy or in addition to, then I would post them online and they were welcome to go on and download them. Later on the project moved to my space at the paper that the owner had so graciously allowed me to set up. We had had as many as 300 kids and adults run through there on Halloween night. It became A event that everybody look forward to including myself!
