Up and High

October 29, 2010

It never ceases to amaze me, the things that people have taught themselves to do.

Every year as a lead-in to the Alliance airshow in Fort Worth, we do some kind of a feature. This is my third straight year, and I think I finally got it right. Most of the credit for that would have to go to my subject Sean D. Tucker, this guy with the help of the other pilot flying us around, made my job too easy.

I gained a great respect for this guy in the air doing what seemed impossible. I listened with the headset as our reporter interviewed Sean while he performed flawlessly over the Wise County Courthouse.

As I listened through the performance I knew this was a guy I wanted to know more about. On the ground as we interviewed him, I gained even more respect and admiration for this very upbeat 58-year-old adrenaline seeker. The amount of training that he does on a daily basis, the vigorous workouts he puts himself through are only a few of the sacrifices this guy makes to continue to live his passion every day.

They say that everybody has a fear threshold, after watching Sean I can’t believe that he does but if so, it’s many plateaus above most of ours, my hat is off to you Mr. Tucker
