Time for a Time Out!

January 8, 2010

Who doesn’t dream of always being on vacation and never having to return to the daily grind? Unfortunately, few people can boast such luxury (and luck!)

I have been on vacation now for a week! Time passes altogether different when not on the schedule, go figure!
Vacation defined is simply taken a break from the everyday grind.  Whatever your  grind might be, we all need a vacation from it, even if you do love your work as much as I do.

In essence I’ve actually been on vacation every day, taking pictures, meeting people, talking about the experience.  I find the hardest chore on this vacation to be not picking up the camera, attending to other stuff that needs attention, and let the enthusiasm of creativity  behind the lens build.

A better definition of vacation could be “just unwinding”. We all have to get out of our mind sometime, (or get back into it, whatever the case) so that’s what I chose to do this year, not going anywhere, just unwind. Although still working in a sense, there’s no schedule, no place to be at any certain time, and just work on what feels good at the time, the anticipation of the “future shot” is building daily once again!

Hey, Joe! Hope you enjoyed your vacation. We missed you at the Mess but are glad you had the chance to unwind.
