Oh yeah, one of my favorite times of the year, and Halloween has to be one of my favorite events.

I mean everywhere you go, there are faces to shoot, and people enjoying themselves. It’s a time when everybody let’s their guard down and just flows with action, no better time for people photography.  I generally try some sort of different lighting or technique every year, it’s one of those times that just about any kind of light works, even bottom light.

The challenge of  the perfect light for the face of the moment!

People go all out, I mean everybody and their dogs show up.

Possibly the greatest thing about all this is that it’s easy to spot the ones that are going to be good subjects by the amount of work they put into their costume, and if they go to that much effort to be cool, you just know photographing them is going to be an experience.
