The Grandeur of it all!
October 5, 2009

Always been a big fan of up close and personal, or real tight framing. There comes a time (as landscape shooters know all too well) in documenting something, or trying to illustrate a point, you have to let the photo breathe. That’s when the background is a large part of the story, like above photo, shot to show the large amount of acreage used in Wise County for cattle farming. The Subject and the background share equal roles in telling the story.
Then there are times when the background is the most important visual statement, but you have to have a subject for reference . Either way when designing a photo through the lens, negative space plays a large part for me!

Thank you for sharing a moment in time which, once captured, allows the viewer to slow down and take in something beautiful. Thanks for the moments above.
