The disipline of youth

July 26, 2008

Well just come back from a four day trip to Farmington New Mexico, whereas covering the national high school rodeo finals. Just when I was sure that discipline in a youth of today was gone, my eyes were opened. Well at least I know of 1490 kids in the US that are very disciplined, and highly motivated. Not only the kids, but all the family members as well to give totally of their self to ensure the kids the best possible chance. It was amazing to watch kids so highly devoted to their rodeo craft.

The great thing about shooting rodeo is the “you never know what you’re going to get shot”. Even with very limited access, with the right equipment, the shots were plentiful. I appreciate you kids and parents from my county letting me shadow you to the point of being a nuisance, you all showed me a great courtesy and respect, best wishes to all of you in the finals Saturday.

Which way did he go?

I wanna be a cowboy

This can’t be the right end!

Hey i’m just working on a new techinique.

Love this shot. It reminds me of the shot I got when B’port played Lake Worth. One of the Lake Worth lineman provided a full moon just for my camera. And oops! I didn’t catch it before it made the end of school video! UGH!!!!
