The best

July 1, 2011

So the time is here again for the results of the All-Wise best in sports. This photo comes from the state track meet this year in Austin, Texas. I felt I had to do something special for Miss Jordan Ward after witnessing her performance this year behind the lens. Jordan placed first in the 100 and 300 hurdles as well as competed in two other events.

I watched this kid grow up for the last 10 years through several interests including 4-H, photography, horses and many others. As I witnessed an already exhausted yound lady come across the last hurdle with a look of intensity that would stop a train, the hair stood up on the back of my neck.

This comes from previous year, with the same look of intensity. And just think, as a junior, I have one more year to look forward to.

The really cool thing about this young lady is that in spite of her top notch performance, she’s one of the sweetest, most down to earth kids I’ve ever met. That’s what heros are made of folks!

Here’s my top sports shots this year. I hope you enjoy!
