Street Walking
February 17, 2020
Valentines day Friday evening I arrived at home with no shoots scheduled that evening, I was feeling a little overwhelmed by mass marketing and lack of shooting, Bonus, The wife was feeling the same way. One of the things we both like doing is Street walking and looking for the golden nugget shots as they present their self. This does two things for us, relieves the stress of deadlines and getting things done and reduces all that to being in the moment, witch in the end is why we are doing it all for anyway.
The only thing that I have found better than walking by yourself and shooting images as they arise is doing it with your partner and someone who loves it as much as I.
And once again with no end result goals in mind, it releases the pressure of having to produce and just enjoy. The image above was the first I saw getting out of the truck about two blocks in and that familiar excitement kicked in. My only thought was, is it gonna remain till I get there, it did. This young man preferred to remain nameless but agreed to letting us take his picture, as he was painting a logo for Denton’s Day of the Dead Coffin race.
We went on to enjoy ourself with our own personal form of amusement for the rest of the evening, visiting the bars that looked like they had the coolest light and even took in a amazing dinner on the Denton Sqaure. Again I was full, I consider myself a very lucky man.
