Scare Tatics!
November 3, 2009

Halloween 2009 is over again, but not without a great celebration of events around Wise County. There was the big Frillys costume waitress thing.

(Really a tough job but someone has to do it) There was the Bridgeport Halloween parade.

(What cool hair, in a weird way, well kind of) but the most unique to the area was the first annual Halloween bash at the Decatur Civic Center.

There was no expense spared, all out, let it hang out fun, complete with hired actors, makeup artist, costume contest, only one stipulation, you must wear a costume. Talk about a great place for a photog to hang out! That’s the cool thing about lighting Halloween subjects, just about any kind of light works, and most of the time the harder the light the better! All of these were shot with one flash with no light modifier, except the Frilly’s girls, which was shot through a 42 inch umbrella. The rest were just a combination of slower shutter speeds and, varying levels of flash output.
