Ready for Pendleton
September 3, 2010
So ready to be immersed into the rodeo main stream again!
Going back to Pendleton, Oregon this year for the 100 year anniversary of the let’er buck rodeo! Pendleton is probably the greatest show on earth when it comes to rodeo.
Decatur, Texas is home to a large group of professional cowboys who travel the rodeo circuit, and if you ask any one of them, they will tell you it’s one of their favorite stops of the year.
Jarrett Blessing is this year’s lead in for Pendleton in the Wise County Messenger. Got to know Jarrett a few years ago when doing a feature on him as a elementary schoolteacher/Roper.

What I didn’t know is exactly what I was going to do that was different than what we’ve already done in the past, but had a feeling there was something else there, I was right.
Jarrett, just the easy-going cowboy who has a grin all the time, except when he’s swinging that rope. As it turns out his whole family, Dad, Sister, Wife, all share the same love for roping in the easy-going way. What do you bet the newest addition to the family has a rope in his hands before he stars walking?
Watch for rodeo action from Oregon next week.
