… Don’t necessarily get me down, as the song says, but  they do slow me down.

As the fall rains usher in the changing of the seasons, slow down is not a bad place to be. Rainy days always seem to make me  contemplative as well, but the changing of the seasons and the rainy weather together and you get a massive slowdown, kind of a nice break sometimes from the sports and news game.

I really consider it a different mindset, or different tool if you will, kind like changing the lens on your camera to change the perspective.

As I said in previous posts, photographing water always mystifies me due to the many forms it takes from still to wild and  raging, it provokes a special mindset all of its own!

Using the energy that nature provides naturally, can be an extraordinary tool of meditation behind the lens.
