Super excited for this young man, JT Hill. Started shooting this young lad about five years ago at NRS ranch and event center during the LBRA competition. Quickly became friends with the family, I mean anybody that knows the ” Hills ” knows you cannot not like these guys!  I watched this young man get better and better through the years never giving up.   JT won the world title for the LBRA senior team roping Header in Guthrie, OK last week, what a amazing feat.

I was honored to get the chance to photograph him with his saddle at the Hill ranch this week as the Hills wanted to document the experience.

I would have to say this was one of the funnest portrait shoot I have been on in a while. What made it different… this is a family that works together to achieve their goals, they new exactly what look they were going for and was very instrumental in helping to achieve it by offering insightful input which was a direct result of the outcome of this shoot. So many times, I don’t get input or the client is not sure of what they want. From riding on the back of the 4-wheeler piloted by Ronnie, to setting up scrims in the Texas summer heat,  these guys stayed with me for the whole four hour shoot.The shoot was exhausting and exhilarating all in one but there is no thrill greater than having your vision come to life.

I look forward to great things fro this young man and cherish the relationship with the Hill family.
