More DC travel nuggets!

March 27, 2009

So, have a love-hate relationship with travel photography, the thing I love is being in new places and seeing new things, the thing I hate, is I can’t control the time or the the lighting.

I think the best you can hope for, is to find something unique to set apart a midday shot! (High above DC at Arlington Cemetery)

and of course a little cloud action doesn’t hurt anything either.

And then, some things you just couldn’t plan any better!

Really became enamored with the DC Metro,  and the lines were fantastic, it’s another way to beat the midday  harsh light thing you know! (could’ve probably stayed here all day)

But it really comes down to the people, and what they’re doing. Howard Sands, loves his city so much he gave me more tidbits of information in 15 minutes that I  would probably get  looking at a catalog of brochures.

When I asked this  guy his name, all he said was Stewart loving, (passion comes in all forms). Stewart was part of a protest group who has been  sitting in from the capital since 1984 in eight hour shifts, in order not to lose their permit.

All in all it was a great trip, and it takes me about three days to slow down enough to enjoy things one at a time rather than trying to see everything at once, but the traveling excitement energy always makes for good images.
