Measure of success photographically
April 16, 2021
For years I have judged my photographic ability by the outcome of my Image. Not to say that that is not still very important as a continually growing artist of any kind, but my goals and objectives have changed over the last few years.
I know measure my success by how much knowledge I can convey to my students and what they produce with it. I feel like this should be the goal of every instructor, it just took me a while to get it. After the 2020 rodeo and western-lifestle photography class, we decided to do a book of just the students images, showcasing their proudest images. The book was a first for Lisa and I, but was hugely successful due to the feedback we got from students. I look forward to the 2021 class with great anticipation of the people we will meet and the skills WE All will learn.
