Lets party!
September 15, 2008
Let’s see, 180 people, very poor lighting, congested area, three hours of intense shooting, yeah that sounds like a party. As a favor to a friend obligated myself to shoot 10 year high school reunion, I got a chance to play around with some new lighting scenarios, well didn’t have much choice, since my voice activated light stands could make it (where are you Tyler and Daniel?) So,set uo some lights on stands,do a few hail marys and rock and roll.
Okay admittedly, it helps to have a great face and good gesture, light is a 500 Watt photogenic through a shoot through 48 inch umbrella, camera right at about 50 feet. 500 W photogenic pointed at the ceiling at a 45¬ angle and to my back.
and again. it doesn’t hurt to have your subject in the right spot, with a great set of eyes catching just the right amount of fall off light from the ceiling.
happy 10 Marcus, you guys were a rush to work with, special thanks to Marissa who said she had been looking forward to this since she graduated, she was responsible for a whole lot of the work, and gathering of the people to make this possible.

WOW JOE!!! That guy in the bottom photo sure must have stayed in school for a long, long time!! Kinda reminds me of myself, I remember asking my dad why I was the “biggest” kid in third grade and he replied, “well son, it might be because your seventeen years old.”

Actually, that would be my former government teacher who owns the facility where the event was held.
