Grandpa’s Camera

October 30, 2008

It’s great to be a grandpa, at least on this side of the camera. Over the years I have shot a great number of shots of the grandkids, in fact every time they see the camera come out now they run.

This is Destinee, little brother Bryson in the background, she learned early to voice her opinion about the camera.

Grandson Collyn learned to tune me out in a really early age.

Collyn again, here he’s trying to figure out who the old Fart is on the ground with a growth in the middle of his face.

Sometimes it’s just more than they can take.

And then, there is The moment’s! I can only hope that one of them will get used to it and grow up to be a photographer, maybe they’ll even pay me back when I can’t get out of my rocking chair.

Lovely entry. My son does the same thing when I bring the camera out. I’ve turned to my animals because they don’t protest as loudly or as often. Your Grandchildren are adorable.

I really like the imagery of the newborn with the hands of so many generations touching him. That’s a photo that should be treasured by many.

I especially enjoy seeing your fantastic photos of your grandchildren. They may protest now at the camera, but oh in years to come, what a treasure they will be to them (as they are to you now). How fortunate to have you with your ability to capture those golden moments!
