Dances with Drones

November 5, 2019

In Drone photography a lot of random checks are involved to insure you don’t get out on a large commercial shoot in the middle of nowhere and have a major malfunction. The most major of these is a battery error when your 300-500 meters out and at max altitude, I have had a Phantom 4 pro drop out of the sky like a rock, nothing messes up your day more. I have invented games to make the process less boring, for instance practicing setting waypoints and flying smooth throughout the process, practicing POI over a target. The latest game has proven the most fun. I was doing a battery check and noticed ” Sassy ” A energetic blue – red heeler, wanted to get in on the action.

This was a blast and I got a full battery check out of it and a Awesome workout for ” Sassy.” Worked on drone control, at one point she was inches from getting it.

Drone was a Inspire one flew in ” P ” mode with a polarizer filter.
