There are those times when color just seems to get in the way. Such was the case with Jackie, a friend I had agreed to do a portrait for.

The final shot was totally different from what was originally envisioned, which was in color, very bright, but just seemed to kill the effect of “mood.”  Do miss the color of the flower, but I think the light placed in the right spot, was a more powerful alternative.

In a world of color, sometimes it’s nice to strip it away to the mood!
