Youth fair Queens, always bring a moment or two, along with much smiles. Never been a big fan of  stage photos or contest photos, but really admire the time and effort that these ladies give to ” being Beautiful.”

Shot above ; standard oblig photo, nice smile but not much in the way of candidness. Still left me wanting more of a gesture or feeling that this one did not provide.

Some of the photogs were shooting this scene plus flash,and giving direction of poses. So staging of the moment was in progress, this one came at the end of all the staging, I figured if I waited long enough, a proud mom and a winning queen would have to let some of that joy out, they did.

The only way this silhoutte worked was with the glasses and the crown framing each others reaction, and there was just enough light from the backdrop to light the ladies expressions, a royal moment.
