Well the big battle of Wise County football is over for another year. Besides all the football action hype, build up of who’s the bad boys of” Big Sandy”, there was kind of a interesting twist this year. With all the fund raisers going on for the Dennison, and Logan families, there was as much action going on behind the scenes as there was on the field.
That was the draw for me this year. I mean when two towns that feel as strong about this game as they do, can put aside the rivalry to come together to help the other town in need, it’s no longer about football, it’s just about people helping each other.
