A Little Chin Music?

Maybe one of my favorite shots of all time.  Possibly the reason for being one of my favorite shots is the simplicity that is involved, and being set up and ready when the opportunity arises. This was the result of a very simple feature, about a new music teacher at Northwest High School. Arriving early I set up a remote flash, watched the crowd, and decided who was going to make the shot, and the rest of it just waiting for the moment.

Give me shelter!

The beauty in this shot lies in the abstractness of it. Interpret It as you will, for me it was like two different worlds colliding, the peaceful and serenity of the ducks on a leisurely swim that was shadowed by the firemen thirsting for water to put out the structure fire.

A cup of Joe?

Well in this case, a cup of Louie. As part of a ad for a local business this was one of those unexpected shots you get while looking for THEEEEEE shot! Louie had as much personality as any person I've ever met, and he loves his cream in the morning, Although he don't generally get to have it inside Starbucks, the North light coming in made this a pleasant shoot.

Glasshouse abstract

Which way is Up? This image was shot as part of a ongoing project called Man versus nature. Most of the time the way man uses nature. it's very Ugly, but occasionally when everything comes together it can also be very beautiful. At this particular angle the reflection in the glass, the yellow tree when light was added, it became a very beautiful image as well as confusing to look at. nonetheless it does catch your attention.
