A Wise Hell
August 5, 2011 at 15:56 Temperatures soar in Wise County as we have been blessed with the hottest temps since 1980, nice, life goes on!
The way of dealing with the heat in Texas for some is " just do it " and drink mucho water. Just spent two days recording the heat of Wise County and the way that native Texans deal! So I started with reporter Brandon evens looking for the shot that said it all. It's been a long time since a story came together so quick and easy, it was almost as if we could do no wrong. As I ponder the story we actually created one of our own as we dealt with the same temps and heat that everyone else did, at one point the camera in my hands was a mere 127 degrees according to the heat gun. the road was a 157 as I laid on a piece of cardboard absorbing it all.
My favorite was the photo at top, David's western wear being on deadline for their winter catalog was right in the middle of all the action, it just doesn't get any more insane!
