Back in "A" town

...for the 82nd Texas Legislative session Wise County days. It's always a treat to photograph in the Capitol — it's like walking into a political cathedral where the games are played on the Senate and House floor.
The greatest challenge to shooting these games is not the fast moving action but the wait for a great face or unique gesture, which sometimes can try the patience. Senator Estes has always been great at camera awareness and since he knew ahead of time that I would be photographing him for a feature, it even made it a little tougher but worth it.
Tomorrow, House representative Phil King. You know what they say, "It's good to be in the land of Kings."

Even though I didn't agree with Sen. Estes on anything, I genuinely liked the man. This is a great photo. No matter which side you're on, it's hard work trying to run government.
