Hummers, flowers and flies!

Yes it's that time again! I've always been fascinated with the little birds, that's the Hummers, with wings flapping like no tomorrow, of course if I had as much sugar as they do my wings might flap as well.

In the defense of always carrying my camera with me, (among as much other photographic equipment that my wife will let me carry) on a trip back from San Antonio last year, stopped in Austin, and this is what I found.

Although somewhat distracting, I decided to leave the pink lily in the photo to get a sense of place. Even though the lily is bright and it sucks your eyes straight toward, it's still blurry enough that the detail of the horsefly overpowers.
