Meet the Iceman! (You guessed it, top gun)

This is the Iceman doing his thing, the photo probably would have run if space had allowed. Generally the orange would have been way too distracting, coupled with harsh light, it shouldn't have worked. Due to the dog's black color, and the orange lead to the eye, and the monochromatic background made it a keeper.
Although I like this one as well, way too abstract for the paper. something about newspaper print tends to mess up a beautiful abstract, the movement of the grass would've been totally lost.
And this is the one that ran, probably a better choice for the story, and the story being about a retriever inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Carol Wooly, the owner that got him there.
